Authors: The Only Marketing Secret You Need To Know

Since you are reading this, it is pretty clear that you are already aware of the popularity and prospective value of information based marketing. It's so popular that there are more than enough articles on the Web to keep the average person reading for several lifetimes, even without taking time out for a coffee break.

However, there has been a basic fact that many aspiring writing marketers have fallen prey to avoiding, and it is this: effective marketing involves more than putting a bunch of words together in an article format, throwing your link up, and waiting for the big bucks to roll in. If that's your mindset, you've got a rocky road ahead of you. But don't despair, because if you're open to the idea that your strategy up to now is not going to take you to Millionaire Avenue, and you're willing to reconsider and restructure your approach, chances are pretty good that success will not elude you.

Here is something you need to make yourself aware of, if you're not already: the reason you write is to inform people. People are not jumping fences to find resource boxes with links they can click on just so your bank account balance will hit the high digits. No one cares about that - except you, of course.

But here's the secret that will change it all for you (a secret to many, and only a relatively select few top-quality writers out there have a handle on this): Remember "The Golden Rule." Ask yourself this question: "Why would I read an article?" Once you come up with the honest answer to that question, your entire perspective of writing will change. That's right, you're not the only one who reads articles to learn something valuable. People are in it for themselves. However, as a writer, you have to remember that and create content that is for others, not for you... and certainly not with the primary focus on your making money.

Write from the heart and the rest will follow. If you write an article while your first and foremost reason is to get people to click on that resource box, then it's almost inevitable that the quality of your article will suffer at least to some extent. So, that said, get into what you're writing and have a passion for it. Keep in mind that not a person in the world is interested in giving you a buck if you're not willing to give something worth more than that buck in return.

When it comes to submitting your articles to article directories, you'll notice that guidelines are set in place. They are there for a reason. They're not there to make your life difficult. Remember, directories need you to thrive, too, and when you really think about it, they put those guidelines in play to help you maintain the integrity of your content and, ultimately, your reputation as well as theirs. More important than any of that, the reader enjoys a quality experience.

Now, here's the real secret to effectively dealing with article directory submissions: don't "try" to fall within guidelines. Does that seem contradictory? It's not in the least bit. Consider this. If you honestly write for the benefit of your readers, you will naturally adhere to guidelines. You won't have to go crazy with keywords, conforming to rules, etc. In short, write with integrity and everything falls into place. Don't act with an intention to "trick" anyone. Again, treat others as you would want to be treated. Write as if you were writing for a reader who is looking for the same quality that you would be.

There is no way around this, and that's a good thing. When you truly act from a standpoint of integrity, everyone wins. That includes your readers (most important), you and the directory that you are submitting to. When it's a win/win/win situation, there's only room for success. Yes, that includes the results that you ultimately want. So, it's a bit of a paradox, isn't it? Don't be focused on your rewards and you'll get them. As you act as your own judge regarding all of this, here's a promise: you can try all the marketing tactics in the world, but nothing will bring home the bacon that good, clean, public-serving intentions will. You can take that to the bank. It's one deposit whose interest will accumulate quite rapidly - and at a very high rate of return.

Publish An Ezine Or Newsletter And Connect With Your Readers In A Whole New Way

Ezines or email newsletters are actually much more powerful than most folks realize. But you must first start by appreciating a very important point here. There is a huge difference between the emails you usually send out to your list regularly and a good informative ezine with plenty of useful information for your target audience.

You must remember that the prospects on your list regularly get bombarded by emails desperately trying to sell them something and it often gets pretty irritating. This is exactly why your email newsletter needs to be a breath of fresh air to your audience.

Picture your prospect receiving your newsletter where they see your email as they scroll down the huge amount of mail they have in their inbox. What is their reaction. Do they look for the delete button before they even open it? Or do they frown, not sure of exactly what to expect from you this time?

The best reaction you are looking for is possibly a smile as they halt everything else to hurriedly open your email. But at the very least they will sit back relax and read your offering. If this is the kind of reaction you get out then you have a very valuable marketing and communicating tool in your hands.

There are numerous benefits and advantages of having your very own ezine with readers who eagerly look forward to hearing from you regularly. It gives you the unique chance of having a very strong connection with them that you can exploit to really build and strengthen your brand. What is your brand? It is certainly not your logo or the way you write the name of your business. Your brand is you, the definition of your business and what you stand for in the eyes of the public. Your brand should portray expertise in your field and an authority of sorts which your ezine is perfectly suited to help you communicate very effectively.

A good favorable image is better than money in the bank because it will always help you get customers in droves.

Your newsletter is also the most effective way to direct traffic to new content on your website or blog. Always direct your readers to something useful and interesting on your site.

If you are already sending out marketing emails, chances are that you are wondering why you have such a high rate of people unsubscribing. The perfect solution is introducing a useful newsletter that tells your target audience more about you and what you stand for through useful information and valuable stuff that they will appreciate having.

If you do a good job with your email newsletter you may just find that you do not even need those boring repetitive emails that keep going out through your email auto responder.

To produce the kind of powerful ezine that we have been talking about throughout this article it is important that you do lots of research focusing on what your readers and prospects really want and are looking for, and then supply it.

How To Get Started With Ezine Advertising

One of the best methods of building your list of email subscribers is to do some form of ezine advertising.

If you have been trying to build a list using free resources such as video social and article marketing I expect it is taking much longer than you would have hoped.

The truth is you must be adding a huge amount of content to the web if you are even going to be found by the search engines and even then it could be months or years before the effort pays off.

The truth is you must regard free marketing strategies as a long term method for generating leads. They will come eventually but they will take time.

The trouble is you do not have that time. You want to see an income coming in now.You may already be spending money on internet marketing products and want to see a return on your investment.

To get that you must have paid advertising as part of your marketing strategy. You can go down the Google AdWords route but unless you know what you are doing it could end up costing you a lot of money.

You must pay Google for every click that happens on your ads regardless of whether you get a sale or not. If your offer is not persuasive then you will get no sales.

With Ezine Ads you pay a fixed fee which can potentially give you a lot more clicks than you would otherwise get with Google.

The more clicks you have the lower is the cost per click whereas with AdWords the more clicks you get the more you pay.

So how do you go about finding a placing an ad.

Go to Google and then type in the word or words that is your niche followed by the word "ezine" or "newsletter."

This will bring all the ezine or newsletters that operate in your niche. Then go to an ezine website and see if they accept ads.

There are five types of ads solo, banner, classified, sponsored and advertorial.

The most effective but the most expensive are solo ads and sponsored.Sponsored ads can be placed at the top middle or bottom of the newsletter however at the top will get the most clicks.

Next write your ad with a compelling headline, list the benefits of the product and finish with a call to action.

If they ad gets you clicks then list it again with the same ezine only this time change the headline and see if that ad does better. If it does keep on changing it until you have an ad that you cannot better.

Then if it makes you money in excess of the cost of advertising, run it forever.

How To Make Money Online With Article Marketing

The trick to make money online is to first have a website, once you have that the easy part is just ahead of you. It doesn't matter what kind of website you have as long as it is not adult oriented, the best thing to do is sell a product, promote something, or just have a site with Google AdSense on it. Now that you have the site ready to start making money you need to get traffic to it and the best way to do that is with article marketing. Most people don't understand the full power or article marketing and that is why they just aren't making money but the fact of the matter is you can make money online with article marketing and here's how.

The first thing you need to do is write a bunch of high quality articles related to your website and then submit them to a few different articles directories. The reason why I say only a few article directories is because search engines are cracking down on copied content and that is why you need to create as many good original articles as you can. My advice is to write at least 4 articles each day and submit them to at least 5 different article directories.

The next thing you need to do in order to make sure your articles get seen is bookmark them using Digg.com, Reddit.com, or Stumbleupon.com. The reason why you need to bookmark your articles is so that they get some traffic in order to get your website that little boost it needs. Another thing that bookmarks do is give you some links that will help you get more traffic and can also provide some link weight which will help you move up the search engine rankings.

Tips to make money with article marketing

Write daily - If you are not writing articles daily then you are not writing enough. Article marketing in spurts is just not enough, the more articles you can write the more traffic you will get and finally the more money you will make.

Have a good title - Would you have read this article if it was entitled, "Article marketing earns cash"? My guess is probably not and that is why you need a good informative title that will make your readers want to click on it and read it. Just know that in order to earn cash online you first need to have traffic get to your site and nobody ever will if you don't come up with any good titles.

How to Write a Winning Ezine Solo Ad

Ad copy is so important in your online business. Your prospects receive tons of emails everyday and if you do not know how to get your prospects to even open your emails, you will never make money online.

In order to create a winning solo ad or email that will result in sales, you will need three things:

1. Have a good subject line 2. Have a body that's descriptive and evokes curiosity 3. Have a call to action (telling people to visit your website)

Subject lines should be spark attention in your prospects. The subject line should let your prospects know that they are about to learn something for FREE, that will help them earn a specific amount of money in a specific amount of time. Be as detailed as possible when writing your subject line...

The body of your email should be know longer then 10 sentences. This information should also be descriptive and lead to more curiosity. You can enforce again that the information (the report or videos) that they are about to receive is completely free and all they have to do is enter there name and email and you will instantly send it to them.

Lastly, is the call to action. This is where you blatantly tell them to click the link to your website and visit it. You have to tell people, trust me your conversions will be better just by telling them to go to your website.

When doing solo ads remember to send prospects to a free offer first, this will grow your list. Once they are on your list, you can offer them one-time offers at a low cost which help help you monetize and make back the money you spent on the solo ad.

This method is highly effective and works 24/7.

Follow the template that I have laid out for you and you will start to see results. See template below:

Solo Ad Template:

Subject line: How To Earn $xxx in Y Time For Free.....

Body: If you're sick and tired of x, Y, Z then this is the most important email you will ever read.

(Insert something about your website here)

(Link)

Xyz = pay check to pay check, paying for leads

To find good ezine publishers, I would recommend doing a search on Google. Before purchasing a solo ad, you should fine out how many people your ad will go out to and the frequency in which the ads are sent. You can also sign up for the ezine yourself so that you can test the quality.

Impressive Content Writing Techniques To Increase Web Traffic

Content writing is the heart and soul of internet where every site owner realizes that first-class and authentic articles are the basis to position higher in search engine results. Yet the non stop growth of internet and search engine algorithms put a twist into content writing and making it more technical by considering other aspects such as keywords, effective usage of keywords, the structure of your respective content, and many more.

However the fundamentals of content writing remain and they've to be incorporated apart from the technical requirements that internet brought in. Among many, one of the primary principles is the content to always be attractive to your potential customers, which starts up with the subject you must tell your target audience along with your articles should be written toward them. Since you should know your target audience, this furthers the subject where your articles also have to be informative, especially targeting towards them. In other words, your article may be quite informative but the information you are presenting is probably not appealing, or relevant to the needs of your audience.

Needless to mention, the fundamentals of grammar as well as spelling requirements for excellent content remain along with your audience is actually looking to read a well-written article.

Besides all of the fundamentals, the new era of content writing for internet brought in advance more requirements under the umbrella of search engine optimization (SEO). A few of the main factors with this is definitely the keywords, anchor text, keyword density, the effective use of the keywords, the makeup for the content, titles and more.

The keyword usage in the content takes a precedence, yet usually it's not at all really clear for the customer where these keywords derived from and the way they are obtained. Even if this is actually a topic for one more subject, the importance of this matter should be mentioned here to have a point that this element goes beyond just to come up with some keywords from AdWords, as it goes all the way up to competitive analysis along with to your goals on the web.

Before we go ahead to the structure of the content, we must always mention the keyword density. Most of the time, it is actually a misunderstanding that some percentage of the overall words has to be your keywords within the article in order to work. This is true up to certain degree, where you should make use of your keywords entire your content, but you should also take note of the use of the variation of your respective keywords. This also opens another subject of keywords density, where the whole idea is always to eliminate the keyword stuffing which will affect natural flow of the article and in the end beat the full goal of having that appeal to your audience anyway.

In the old days you had an ordinary structure for an article to write down your starting paragraph, and then expand on the subject, finally make your conclusion right at the end. Nowadays the search engines check out the first paragraph to always be the conclusion of your article. This means that, you first have to state your conclusion, and expand on your subject, then write your starting paragraph reiterating your conclusion right at the end. Consequently, this structure pretty much dictates best places to have keywords, such as the first and the last paragraph without using them repetitively, and sprinkle some related keywords all through your article to get an internet search engine friendly content.

Article Marketing, How to Do It and Its Importance

Article marketing is the writing of articles related to what you do and submitting them to the article directories. You may also guest post on related blogs and stand to gain from the maximum exposure you articles are likely to get. Before embarking on submitting your articles, there are a few things you need to learn.

For one, spam gets deleted faster than you can publish it. If you choose to stuff keywords either in the header or body section, you are not only making the reader experience worse but you also dent your image. Write a good article with the correct keyword density. You arouse the curiosity of readers by giving them info-packed articles. You shouldn't also link spam. Give information first in the article body and restrict your self serving links to the author resource box.

Avoid article spinners by all means. You must have seen those adverts made by unscrupulous people selling their article spinners which can submit articles to thousands of article directories at the single magic touch of a click. They claim this will enable you to flood your site with 'tonnes of traffic' and gain massive sales. Guess what? They are the only people who get to smile all the way to the bank. If you want results take time and submit quality content. Like I just told you, you arouse interest by giving information.

Now you can start submitting articles. Write articles related to your field of expertise. For example if you talk about blogging it would be a good idea to only submit articles related to that. This ensures that links in your resource box are relevant. Link relevance is one important aspect of Search Engine Optimization(SEO).

There are many advantages that come with article marketing. For one you give your articles maximum exposure. They get to be read by people you would have never reached from your blog or website. This people come to your site and can be easily turned into active readers or buyers.

Backlinks are the backbone of SEO. You need to get as many links as possible pointing back to your site. By submitting your site you stand to get links through the author resource box. When this articles get published elsewhere you get more links. Since articles can go viral, you can very easily get lots of links by just submitting articles.

Best of all article marketing will bring you lots of traffic if done in the right way. So why not start submitting content and watch your traffic increase.

Using eZine Advertising In Joint Ventures

When you enter into a joint venture with another small business, you have a wealth of advertising options at your disposal. One of the most effective online advertising methods today is the eZine advertisement, which appears in an eZine publication that is sent out regularly to an audience that has opted into its mailing list. The purpose of an eZine advertisement is to increase targeted traffic to your website, or in the case of a joint venture, to the websites of both JV partners. We have the scoop on the different types of eZine advertisements available and how to use them to your fullest advantage in your joint venture. Types of eZine Advertisements

When you are considering this type of advertisement to promote your joint venture, you must learn what your options are before choosing the ad that best fits your needs. eZine Advertisements fall into three specific categories:

Solo Ads - Usually the most expensive as well as the most effective, solo ads are emails that contain your offer alone. These ads are generally seen as being endorsed by the specific publication, offering immediate credibility to your business by the people who regularly read the publication. This is a good option for joint ventures because the cost can be split between partners to make it more affordable.

Classified Ads - This is the most basic type of eZine advertisement, providing a cheap option for reaching a targeted audience. The ads usually work best in larger publications because the percentage of responders is generally much lower on these types of advertisements. Classifieds are usually found at the bottom of a publication and tend to be the smallest of all the ad spaces.

Sponsor Ads - This type of advertisement offers the best value by providing the best exposure for the lowest price. Unlike basic classified ads, the sponsored advertisement is usually found in a more prominent location on the newsletter and offers additional space for your company information. These ads also tend to work well with joint ventures, where your top priority is to build a larger targeted market base.

Finding eZine Advertisement Opportunities

There are many online publications available, making it relatively simple to find one that caters to your targeted market base and offers advertising space at a price you like. Check eZine directories to find the best listings of publications currently available. Although some of the directories charge an annual subscription fee, they are usually well worth the money, due to the amount of information they provide. Select an online publication that corresponds with your targeted audience to ensure the right customers see your advertisement.

The eZine advertisement is an excellent tool to help make the most of your joint venture. Through effective marketing strategies like these, you and your JV partner can work together to produce high quality advertising directed at your target market. With a bit of skill, research and a little luck, you will find your customer lists growing at an exponential rate by using the best marketing strategies at your disposal.

Effective Article Titles - How To Choose Them Like A Pro

Did you know that one of the most common mistakes people make is they don't choose an affective article title to start the reader off with? This is something that most people do not do on purpose, but by accident. Something you need to realize is article titles are the face of the article and if you don't choose a friendly face then you won't have any interaction.

The first thing you need to understand about choosing an affective article title is that you should spend a good amount of time choosing it. If you simply throw up an article title then you won't really give your readers much information to go off of. What most people do is they pick a simple yet informative title to start their writing off with and then they don't ever going back to the title to make it better. Do yourself and your reader a huge favor, choose something that screams, Read me!

The way that you should choose an article title is by first determining what your article is going to be about and then write something that gives a little bit of information about it. A trick is to make sure the title has something that the reader can relate to. What I mean by this is instead of writing something like, "Tips to get more traffic to your blog" you should write, "Blog Traffic - Effective Techniques To Dominate The Net". Do you see the difference in the titles and why one screams, Ready me? Think about this because the simplest changes can make the world of difference.

Another thing you need to understand about picking article titles is you should never put ending characters such as a period or a question mark in it. The reason not to put ending punctuation is because then people will think you are making a statement or asking a question. It is best to leave the actual purpose of the title open so that the reader can decide for themselves what you are trying to say. The nice thing about leaving the title open for interpretation is the fact that you will get more traffic and the reader will be more likely to read the entire article to see what it is exactly about.

The last thing you need to understand about choosing affective article titles is you should always make sure the words are capitalized. What most people forget to do is capitalize the first letter of every word and when you don't do this people will most likely skip over that article. In order to get people to click on something they have to first see it and when you have capital letters the chance of somebody seeing your article is a lot more likely.

Ezine Marketing: Six Excellent Ezine Content Ideas

Ezines are fantastic marketing tools but good content can be hard to come up with. Here are six excellent ideas for content you can use to get those creative juices flowing.

1. Provide a 'digest' of what's good or useful on the web.

Guess what? The internet is HUGE, and growing every second of every day, with new content and resources in every conceivable field.

A minority of this material is good, much mediocre, some downright bad. You can, therefore, provide a valuable service to your audience simply by 'separating the wheat from the chaff', and providing links to resources on the net that you've found that will have a value for your audience, with a short commentary of your own explaining how subscribers can benefit from looking into them.

Sign up to other ezines in your industry or related industries and do a weekly sweep for valuable content.

Note however that the value of your digest will be a direct function of the time and care you put into ensuring that what you recommend is actually valuable and relevant, and not just in your ezine to fill space.

2. Topical opinion pieces.

Giving a punchy, reasoned opinion on a hot topic in your industry or the news can make for very readable content, not least because you can capitalise on existing news value.

But as much as provocative content can be good, be aware that strongly stated opinions are likely to upset someone, somewhere. Whatever you do, keep your opinion pieces on topic for your ezine.

Politics is a good example of a very dangerous topic on which to vent your spleen (assuming your ezine is not a political one).

3. Competitions.

People love competitions. How about these ideas?

• Humorous caption competitions - insert a photo of some famous people in the news and ask for a caption - can provide reams of amusing content over several ezines and allow you to interact with subscribers in a light-hearted, fun way.

You may even be able to leverage the results - could you blow up the photo and caption, and put it in your shop window, or on your website, or submit it to the press, to gain publicity with a wider audience?

• Testimonial competition - as above, get your customers to provide 50 or 100 words on what they like about you. Great material to have, obviously!

• Cross-promotion - run a joint competition and bundle prizes up with three or four non-competing businesses, and use a co-registration system or advertisement swap to cross-fertilize the audiences.

• 'Everyone wins' - set up a competition with the twist (known to you) that every entrant wins a prize of some sort.

You're likely to get a better response out of this than merely giving stuff away; maybe a store visit is required to collect the prize?

Bear in mind that competitions and sweepstakes can potentially have legal implications so take legal advice if you're in any doubt.

4. Multiple choice quiz questions.

Rather than a full-blown competition, you can include a section of your ezine for a multiple choice question, based around your area of business or expertise. Pose a question with three or four possible answers. By clicking on their choice of answer, subscribers go to the answer page on your website (a great way to drive traffic to your site!).

5. Get inspiration from the calendar/events.

There's always something going on that you can tie content to. The end of the year can be especially handy for content concepts: predictions for next year, new year's resolutions, best articles of the year.

6. Run occasional 'best of' ezines/sections.

The reality is that no ezine's content is read by everybody, all the time. You can afford to repeat great content occasionally - and you may find this particularly useful if you're taking a holiday, for example!

Here's a Quick and Easy Way to Learn About Ezines

An ezine is an online newspaper or like a small magazine that lists thousands of the best email newsletters available on the internet today. The web owners mix a few paid ads in with their content, this allows them to defray the costs of operating the ezines. This allows you to pay for space in the ezine. If you do this right people will see your ad and click on the link to your site.

You will want to narrow down which ezine to advertise in by targeting the market you are looking to reach. Also staying away from anything that is to large, 20,000 subscribers is a good place to start. The best way to find a good ezine is to subscribe and start reading through a few issues. Make sure that it isn't overpopulated with ads, you want to look for informative content, that is with in your niche. Model your language like the others are doing.

With any ad you will want to have a strong, attention-grabbing headline. Your only goal is to get people to take the next action, which is to click on your ad. Make a strong call to action in all ads.

Here are four ad types to select-

1. Classified ad- Usually 1 to 3 lines including your call to action and link. With this type of ad you will want to build curiosity and solve the problem. Start by selling the click not the product. Stay with these until you get results. If this is working good for you stay with these, they are by far the cheapest way to advertise.

2. Sponsored ad- Placement of these ads can be wherever you choose, the best spots would be towards the top of the page. This is usually a paragraph or two. With this type of ad start to pitch the benefits strong. Why do they want it? What's in it for them?

3. Solo ad- Will give you the freedom to use more space to tell the reader about the benefits of your program. A solo ad is sent as its own mailing to the list of the publisher you pick. You don't need to give the whole story, remember you are just trying to get the click. You have more space to use personal stories, empathize with them, be their friend. Let them know that you care about them to help them solve their problems.

4. Joint Venture- I would stay away from this type of advertising unless you truly can trust the ezine owner. Here instead of paying for your advertising you will share a percentage of your profits, they get a cut of your money. This really is not in your best interest so just do it yourself.

Always remember to track your results, you want to know where your leads are coming from. This is also a good way to see what's not working for you so you can watch and see what happens when you change either the title, the body or the call to action.

Become a master marketer-make your ads convert-take action-write for your targeted audience-test everything until you get it right. Once you find the right ad copy that pulls, use that as a signature ad.

Don't try to reinvent the wheel with ezines, just keep on posting and posting what is working.

5 Ways To Research Your Content For An Article Or Blog

Below, we take a look at five ways of researching the content for your article or blog, with some tips and advice when it comes to utilising these methods to write for your website.

Experience - Most of us specialise in at least one field of work or knowledge, or at least have experience in a particular subject or niche, which means that when it comes to writing content, there is often nothing better than drawing on our own knowledge to write this content. Quite often when you write about the things you do or are very knowledgeable in, then your content is always going to be strong and informative, which will make your readers trust your opinion far more than writing about something you have only just researched.

In The News - Some of the best articles and blog posts are ones that are focusing on something that is currently hitting the headlines which can then allow your readers to connect to it easily. For example, if you work in the web design world and there is a major story about a company being hacked, then you should be writing about website security and how to protect your interests for example.

Look At Others - Although you should never copy anyone's work, there is no harm in looking at what other people are writing and then putting your take on it. There are some really strong blogs out there, along with article directories and RSS Readers, which means that you should never lack for inspiration if you keep your finger on the pulse of your industry or niche.

Use The Internet - There WWW has millions of blog posts, articles and white papers which should allow you to research your subject in detail and then write some quality content about it. Once you know your subject, you can then use the Internet to go and gather some information, quotes and opinions which you can then use to write your own articles and content for your website.

Ask Around - For most of us, we have a select group of friends, family and colleagues that we can talk to, including social network and online friends as well. This group of people are ideal when it comes to asking around for ideas, because they will generally be of different age ranges and have different views, which means you might end up with many different suggestions that you might not have even considered previously.
